Pilliga

We now live in Baradine western NSW, and it is right at the beginning of the Pilliga forest, although the sandy ground supports the prickly pear more than the pine trees that State Forests relies on for there income.
On the right there is a photo of my brother standing in front of one of the prickly pear trees, and on either side you can see more of them and pine trees.
The entire forest is full of burs, farmers friends and cat heads that whenever we take the dogs out for a walk, they get full of them, especially the poodle, with all of his coat being so curly, so we don't go in there anymore, as all dogs go running around, and both of them like to go to the biggest patches of farmers friends and run through them.
Also, there is a lot of dirt bikes and the forest is full of trails and jumps built with shovels and bulldozers.
On the road to Coonabarabran there is the goanna tracks MX track for all the competitions and stuff that happens here.
There is also a lot of wild flowers and birds, along with the Sculptures In The Scrub, featuring a whole mix of statues and things, but I will post on that later.
